Historic Shaw Walking Tour
This is a 2 hour walking tour of the Shaw community.
About this event
Shaw is a historically black neighborhood. Come and discover the rich history of the people and places. Beginning at the Shaw library next to the metro we will experience the Carter G Woodson home and memorial park, the famous YMCA, the Whitelaw hotel, the Howard theater and other sites. The tour ends at the U Street Metro with the famous Ben’s Chili Bowl and other food options available.
